Lenovo Y550P 324156U 15.6-Inch Laptop (Black) Review
The Y550P is a great laptop for its price. I've played Starcraft II at medium-high settings and don't notice any slowdowns even during large engagements.
I do have a few problems with it that stop me from going for the full five stars.
1) FN key where the CNTRL key should be. This has to be one of the most annoying things on the planet. They do not even offer a BIOS option to switch the keys.
2) No auto-disable trackpad when mouse is connected. Pressing FN-F6 each time to disable the pad is annoying.
3) Lots of bloatware. I do look at this as a time vs money equation. The laptop is super cheap for what it is, but you are spending a few hours removing bloatware after you buy it. I assume the manufacturer reduces the end price after receiving money to include a bunch of worthless software on its machine.
4) No Win 7 re-installation disks. I might want to re-install a fresh OS copy in the future. They should ship the disks with the laptop.
Apart from that I am very satisfied with this laptop. Knowing what I know now, I would buy it again.
